The EAWLS Volunteer and Internship Scheme is designed to provide graduates and interns interested in working in conservation the opportunity to develop their experience and skills by working with a regional conservation organization and contribute directly to conservation activities.
Support and advice is given in developing skills useful to further employment within the field of conservation and environmental protection. Volunteer appointments may last from 3 months to 1 year, although no specific time commitment is required. Volunteers will in effect work as staff of the EAWLS, based in the main office at Riara Road, Kilimani in Nairobi or attached to a field project.
