EAST AFRICAN WILD LIFE SOCIETY/FAIRVIEW GROUP

YALE WHIFFENPOOFS Music Performance/ Dinner

On 10th July 2010 the East African Wild Life Society in conjunction with Fairview Group will bring you .Yale University Whiffenpoofs, the oldest men’s collegiate a cappella chorus in the United States.

The Whiffenpoofs will be travelling to Kenya in July as part of their annual World Tour. Their unique, charming, and sophisticated form of musical entertainment has delighted audiences all over the world for a hundred years.

They have a very diverse repertoire, suitable for entertaining everything from an informal gathering to black-tie affairs. We encourage you to visit their website, www.whiffenpoofs.com, which contains more information as well as audio clips of their music. In recent years, they have performed internationally for hotels and corporations, four United States presidents, Mother Theresa, and the Dalai Lama. They have appeared at the White House, the Lincoln Centre, the Rose Bowl, the World Series, and on six major American television shows. Last October they sang as one of the headlining acts in the Sun Valley Jazz Festival, one of the most popular and acclaimed jazz festivals in the United States, and in December, they performed in New York City’s prestigious Carnegie Hall.

Numbers are limited to 50 only, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Dress Code: The dress code for the night is “smart casual”. Gentlemen are requested to wear jackets and ties and ladies to dress appropriately.

Venue and Programme: The Magnificent dinner which includes; 2 bottles of red wine and 2 bottles of white wine per table and Soft drinks included will be at the PANGO Gourment Brasserie.

Other alcohol drinks – cash bar.

Time: 6.30 p.m. A welcome drink, canapés and Whiffenpoofs entertainment in the Mitende Atrium

7.00 p.m. Starters

7.15 p.m. Guest of Honour - Michael E Ranneberger, US Ambassador,

7.45 p.m. Main Course followed by Whiffenpoofs Entertainment

Payments: Charges Kshs.7000/= per person.

You can pay by cheque or through MPESA. Our Pay bill business Number is 502300.

Instructions for Payment

  • After scrolling to MPESA on your phone, choose PAY BILL from the MPESA Menus List and enter the business number i.e. 502300.
  • Enter a/c details: choose ANY(Membership NO:- for members, OR enter ‘NEW’ for new members OR Enter the ‘Name of new member’ if you are paying for someone else, OR Enter ‘DONATION’ for any other  payment)
  • Enter the amount and then the secret PIN. Confirm details then press OK. Wait to receive confirmation that the money has been sent to EAWLS.

If the two options are not possible for you then please call Rose and she will organize to pick the money from your office.
